Voice is the form of expression that communicates our inner world with the outside world; it is the bridge that allows us to get to the heart of the soul’s secrets, to our deepest essence. We are recognized by our voice, and we recognize other people by theirs.

In this way, you’re invited to listen to four recordings of Ernst Saemisch’s voice. In these recordings, he reflects on the act of creation, classical art and the Academy, the time that surrounds the artist, and the risk in the adventure of creation.

The recordings were made in the workshop with young painters from Tepito at the Casa de Cultura Enrique Ramírez y Ramírez, in 1984.
